Most extended health plans cover Registered Counselling Therapists and Registered Social Workers. Call the number on your benefits card and ask. We bill most major insurers directly, so you only pay what your plan doesn’t cover. If we can’t bill your plan, we give you a receipt with the registration details after every session.

You talk to a clinician for about 15 minutes. They ask what’s going on, answer questions about cost and insurance, say what a first session looks like, and are honest about whether we’re a fit. No form, no card.
Before it, an online form to fill out at home. Session one is talking: what’s going on, and what you’d like to be different. No homework, no decisions. By session two you leave with a written plan you helped build.
We ask you a few short questions when you start, and the same ones again every few sessions. That shows us both if things are getting better. If they’re not, we change the plan. More on how we work →
We’ll see it together in the check-ins, and change course from there: a different approach, a different pace, or a referral to someone we trust. It won’t mean months of drifting without answers.
It depends on you and what you’re working on. Most people start weekly or every two weeks. You can stop at any time.
Yes. What you share stays between you and your clinician, within the limits set by Nova Scotia law (PHIA). Those limits are the standard ones: a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, a child at risk, or a court order. We don’t report to employers. Sessions are not recorded. Privacy policy.
